Design Engineer Job in Greenville, South Carolina US
Come join a leading worldwide manufacturer and supplier of electronic components.
Our client is currently seeking a Design Engineer with a solid Engineering background dealing with Power Film Caps.
This position will be located in the Greenville, SC area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide unique win win design and packaging options to provide customers with superior product performance.
Specify bill of materials for product construction.
Communicate with manufacturing facilities overseas to get customer order and deliver requirements satisfied.
Keep abreast of latest technology in passive electronics, specifically Power Film Caps.
Analyze system requirements, capacity, cost, and customer needs to determine feasibility of project and develop system plan.
Confer with engineers, customers, vendors, and others to discuss existing and potential engineering projects or products.
Design electronic components and software, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, and scientific applications.
Develop and perform operational, maintenance, and testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS Electrical Engineering preferred.
Advanced degree a plus.
5+ demonstrated experience as electronic design engineer.
Specific experience in design of Power Film capacitors.
Ability to communicate at all levels.
Should have experience with passive electronic components.
Public Speaking experience desired.
Must be available to travel 30% of the time.
