Deputy Program Manager Job in Washington 20043, District of Columbia US
** Because this position is directly supporting the US Government, candidates must be eligible to obtain a US Government Security Clearance **TEKsystems has partnered with a government integrator to bring on a Deputy Program Manager for a 6 month to permanent opportunity located in Washington DC in support of a Department of Transportation contract.
Candidate will be responsible for managing 100 people on a day-to-day basis and overseeing overall IT management.
Along with this, ensure that the overall objectives of the contract are met by ensuring that: (i) all contractor staff understand and work toward goals; (ii) all tasks are staffed by appropriate, highly qualified personnel; and (iii) all program management issues are communicated to and coordinated with customer.
Establish the management processes and procedures to facilitate operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, project execution and delivery for the Program Manager, Service Level Manager, customer and the entire operations team.
Lastly, candidate will submit a written monthly status report with the following information on current active tasks: · Contract information · Key activities of the past month· Financial status · Issues/highlights/significant events/lessons learned · Earned value information to be determined after task order awardREQUIRED: - minimum of ITIL Foundation Version 2 certification- Strong infrastructure technical skills- Strong management background/experienceRequired Skills: ITIL, ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS, PEER REVIEWSJoin TEKsystems® and get your career on the fast track.
