Database Analyst Job in Columbus 43240, Ohio US
JPMorgan Chase, a leading provider of diverse financial services worldwide is actively seeking a Database Management Analyst to ensure database security and integrity while enhancing overall quality.
As a Database Management Analyst you will create new database models, manage existing databases and develop new database access solutions.
Typical Day Implement data models, database designs, data access and table maintenance codes.
Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication and other data issues.
Work with other Information Architects and Database Designers to implement the physical data model.
Develop the database performance monitoring process and analyze data for optimization opportunities.
Manage on-site backup and recovery process.
Plan for and execute required database upgrades or migrations.
Other Requirements Knowledge of third party products including Oracle's Grid Control and Ligh Speed applications.
Solid skills in database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures.

What Are My Hours? Standard 5-day work week.
Ideal candidate will have familiarity with productivity factors, ability to understand impact of problems on overall database performance, proficiency in fault detection and a grasp of hierarchical database applications.
Ideal Personality Traits Excellent communication, analytical and writing skills; ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously; confidence to work with many teams and different personalities.

Minimum 7 years of work experience as a SQL server Or/And Oracle Database AdministratorSolid skills in database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning proceduresStrong Database Management skills, including backup and recovery proceduresSolid skills in productivity factors and ability to understand impact of problem on overall database performanceKnowledge of fault detection and resolution processesSolid skills with one or more programming language and design technique.
