Data Quality Manager Job in New York, New York US
A major client, located in New York City, is seeking a Data Quality Manager.
The Data Group supplies reference data to all divisions of client - Institutional, Retail, and Investment Management.
DG is made up of five Practice Areas: Client Reference Data, Client's Reference Data, Securities Reference Data, Geography and Calendar Reference Data, and Time Series Data (which includes Pricing).
The NY Products Processing Team is part of DG and belongs to the Practice Area Division.
It forms part of a global product data team with representatives in NY, Far East, and Tokyo.
The team works closely with other departments and divisions like Settlement, L/C, and Business Units areas as well as other DG teams to drive changes and improve the company's overall service.
The Time Series practice area is responsible for sourcing and delivering pricing information throughout the firm.
Time Series data is by sales and trading, customer statements, margin, and research.
This new role will report into the Securities Reference Data practice area and work directly with the Time Series team to improve pricing data quality reporting and service levels.
The person would have the responsibility of creating a data quality program for pricing.
This would include: Documenting the scope of the serviceDrafting an SLA with usersCreating an ownership matrix showing what groups own pricing policyEstablishing a process to monitor compliance with the SLA and pricing policiesThe skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following: 7-10+ years of experience with pricing data, including knowledge of vendors, regulatory requirements, and establishment of internal guidelinesDemonstrated project management skillsDemonstrated success in managing off-shore resourcesStrong analytical skillsStrong communication skills both oral and written; the candidate will be expected to be able to draft Service Level Agreements and Policy StatementsSelf-motivated and the ability to work consistently and efficiently to achieve overall team as well as personal goalsGood time management skills with the ability to prioritize / escalate issues to meet set targetsMicrosoft Excel including macros and pivot tablesMicrosoft Word and PowerPoint proficiencyFamiliar with Microsoft AccessSkills Desired: Formal Project Management TrainingDatabase query capability using SQL
