DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES Job in Brooklyn 11201, New York US

We are now seeking the following professional to join our winning team: DIRECTOREMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES Full Time The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Ambulance Department.
The Director will also serve as the Liaison between the Hospital and all regulatory and government agencies during a drill or actual disaster.
The Director will also serve as the EMS Coordinator during a hazardous material (Hazmat) incident and act as the Hazmat Team Leader.
Plus, the Candidate must have the ability to logically and effectively structure tasks, establish priorities and accomplishes work activities.
Duties: (but not limited to)· Annual Budget preparation and cost monitoring.
· Compiles and reviews daily, monthly and annual reports.
· Serve on the Emergency Department Committee to ensure that all EMS units comply with state and regional standards· Ensuing that all procedures and guidelines are followed.
· Maintaining updating employee credentials and evaluations.
· Provide training and in-service to employees on EMS related policies/procedures· Create EMS Department policies/Procedures (as needed) · Overview of all EMS Quality Assurance/Improvement Programs · Ensuring that all patient care reports are completed · Ensuring compliance with all regulatory agency policies· Maintaining vehicles in accordance to regulatory guidelines· Capital needs procurement· Create and implement business plans within the department Requirements: · 4-year College Degree preferred.
· Licensure needed: NYS DOH and NYC REMAC Paramedic.
National Registry preferred.
· Current Certifications of ACLS, BCLS, AND PALS· Three-years(minimum) as a Paramedic within a 911- System, plus 2-years (minimum) experience as an EMS Director or 3-5 years experience as a Manager.
· Strong knowledge in: Hazmat Awareness, Weapons of Mass Destruction Awareness and Decontamination Awareness· Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
