DBA Job in Camanche 52730, Iowa US
DBA will develop, implement, administer, and maintain policies and procedures for Client's data warehouse using an ETL tool and Reporting from SAP Business Objects .
Responsible for implementing data models, database design, data access and table maintenance codes; resolving database performance and capacity issues, and replication and other distributed data issues.
Required Skills: Understanding of MS SQL Server 200, 2005 and 2008 Advanced data analysis and report design skills with spreadsheets and other analytical tools Knowledge of how data is organized in RDBMS environments Skilled at communicating reporting requirements to IT departments Strong oral and written communications skills, as this position involves client communication Strong reporting development background a plus Experience with Business Objects or other industry BI (business intelligence) tools Minimum 5 years of experience and a bachelors degree in a related fieldDuties/Responsibilities: Design and document database architecture.
Data Modeling.
Design Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence platform Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions Set up data sharing and disk partitioning Develop database utilities and automated reporting Create shell scripts for task automation Create, test and execute data management languages Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency Monitor systems and platforms for availability.
Restore and recover corrupted databases Implement security and encryption Provide 24/7 support for critical situations Evaluate and recommend new database technologies
