Creative Financial Staffing - Director, Technical Accounting Job in Schaumburg 60173
Rapidly growing division of a global Fortune 50 company is seeking a Director, Technical Accounting & Policy professional to add to their team.
Technical accounting manager for the business with responsibility for management of global accounting policies and procedures
Interpret and apply technical accounting solutions on key business issues in coordination with business Controllers and Finance Managers
Coordinate and prepare documentation regarding key accounting conclusions
Monitor, interpret and communicate information regarding new developments in accounting standards and other regulatory rulings with an impact on the business.
Assist with the implementation of new standards, including coordination with key business constituents, and parent level technical accounting team(s)
Ensure Controllership & Compliance of all finance activities & documentation within SOX, local statutory, corporate & business practices, policies & requirements, and that such records are maintained in timely, accurate and complete fashion
Partner with Corporate Audit Staff for internal compliance reviews.
Drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues / manage risk.
Lead resulting corrective action process implementation and follow up throughout the organization.
Work with International teams to review and coordinate effective policies and procedures on key technical controllership topicsTo qualify one must have 8+ years of experience in Big 4 or a blend of Big 4 and industry (large SEC company).
CPA required.
