Cost Accounting Manager Job in Ft Lauderdale 33329, Florida US
Our client has engaged us to identify the top talent in the local market for a newly created Inventory Cost Accounting Manager/Supervisor position.
This candidate will be responsible for all cost accounting and inventory accounting, including variance analysis, inventory reporting, physical inventory coordination and processes/controller related to inventory accounting.
Specific responsibilities will include: - Responsible maintaining and calculating proper inventory levels.
- Gross Margin & cost of goods sold analysis.
- Inventory Analysis, valuation, and profit analysis.
- Provide the necessary analysis and schedules to determine and explain monthly manufacturing variances.
- Prepare other cost analysis as needed.
- Inventory accounting and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Develop inventory system of cycle counts, physical inventories, analyze gross margins, and audits as necessary.
- Responsible for establishment of sound accounting practices, internal controls, and accounting policies within the cost accounting function.
- Assist the controller with the annual budget preparation and any other financial information needed by finance and operations executive management team.
