Corporate Treasurer - Multi Billion Global Manufacturing Concern Job in New York, New York US
Position: Corporate Treasurer General Overview: Our client is looking for a Global Corporate Treasurer; this role will be an officer of the company and a critical aspect of the companies executive management team.
The company is a multi-billion dollar manufacturer located in Upstate, NY Full relocation will be provided for the future employee.
Job Description Develops strategic direction of global treasury activities, including cash pools, long term debt, revolving loans, asset based loans and risk strategy.
Projects and mitigates potential risks with respect to the Company's liquidity, financing, and/or hedging programs.
Manages total debt portfolio, including revolving loans, long term placements, and other sources of funding.
Directs the cash management function including; monitoring and analysis of the company's daily cash position, borrowing and investing activities, cash forecasts, and foreign exchange risk and trading.
Working knowledge and experience in capital markets, credit arrangements and alternative capital structures.
Actively engages on all hedging activity (commodities/currency/interest rate/options/swaps etc) regarding strategy, tactics, and cash mark-to-market implications.
Monitors all hedging commitments and takes proactive actions to minimize exposure.
· Conduct monthly analysis of LIBOR, treasury, and foreign exchange rates on current derivative portfolio· Prepare analysis pertaining to cash flow and assets fair value· Overview of monthly reporting for hedging activity on a IFRS and US GAAP basis· Lead in implementing Fair Value Option accounting for US GAAP (SFAS 159) and research / extensive knowledge as it relates to FAS 133Coordinate and facilitate treasury-reporting requirements for 10-Q and 10-K including credit lines, letters of credit, guarantees, etc.Assesses acquisition/divestiture value and engages in all external development activity, providing analytical expertise on valuation, funding, and business implications.
Maintains strong relations with banking partners and other external providers of financial services.
Maintains current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
Develops staff, including the monitoring and evaluation of performance, recommending and implementing personnel actions, and coaching.
Requirements Skills/Experience Bachelors in Finance, Accounting or similarMBA, CFA, CPA or CTP RequiredExtensive Capital Markets Experience, IPO experience would be a large plus10-15 years treasury experience, 5+ in a global management settingExtensive experience with FAS 133 and global hedging activitiesTeam oriented, dedicated, and motivated professional with excellent analytical / written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to leverage prior experience to identify and analyze complex issues and offer pragmatic solutions incorporating company goals and objectives.
Ability to take ownership of projects and drive to conclusion through research and management of the process.
Highly competent technological skills, ability to make decisions in a fast passed / dynamic environment without jeopardizing integrity and company direction
