Sleepys, The Mattress Professionals is currently seeking a dynamic and professional Corporate Recruiter to join our in-house recruiting team.

This individual will work alongside a team of Corporate Recruiters and will be responsible for recruitment of all open positions within our Corporate Headquarters, Distribution Centers and our newest acquisition, 1-800-Mattress.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Screen, interview and recommend prospective employees to management for hourly and salaried positions.

Ensure candidates have a complete understanding and realistic picture of job responsibilities, compensation, training, schedule requirements, benefits, growth opportunities and company history/future.

· Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring Managers.

Follow-up with candidates upon completion of interviews.

Pre-close candidates on available position and process background checks, when applicable.

· Work closely with hiring Managers to understand staffing needs, skills, knowledge and abilities necessary for each open position.

· Aggressively search internet databases, including Oracle Applicant Tracking System, for qualified candidates.

· Maintain all candidates information within Oracle ATS. Ensure information is accurate, up-to-date and notes are entered for each candidate interviewed.

Responsible for preparing new hire paperwork for HR, both manually and in Oracle.

· Handle negotiation of salaries and bonuses with applicants.

Extend verbal offers of employment.

Obtain approvals from management and coordinate start dates with new hires.

· Prepare all new hires for their first day of employment.

· Work with employment agencies, as needed, to assist with staffing efforts.

Partner with agencies and department heads to oversee applicant flow and resolve issues as they arise.

· Responsible for updating, creating and editing all online job postings for department.

Recommend specific changes and track results of online postings for own positions.

Assist with creation of new job descriptions.

· Field recruiting.

Recruit potential employees from competition and/or other companies.

Partner with companies that are closing to assist their employees with possible job placement with Sleepys.

· Attend job fairs within trading area and coordinate open houses.

Seek out new career events to help maximize recruiting efforts.

· Maintain and develop relationships with colleges/universities within our trading area.

Build and maintain network of candidates/sources through LinkedIn and other networking sites.

· Conduct reference checks.

Administer drug test paperwork, when applicable.

· Maintain and create various recruitment materials, referral logs and reports.

· Remain in compliance with HR laws and adhere to company and department policies and procedures.

· Special projects and additional tasks/administrative duties as assigned by management.

· Self-motivated and driven to succeed.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.

· At least 3 years of experience in high-volume recruiting - preferably for a variety of positions (no niche recruiting) within a corporate retail environment or employment agency.

· Strong sales and negotiation skills required.

· Experience with MS Office and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) strongly preferred.
