Role Summary/Purpose Lead controllership team accounting function(s) for the GE Real Estate InterPark business that normally includes monthly and quarterly close process, preparation of financial and management reports and procedures.

Provide operational and technical accounting support to the business on deals/transactions.

Present findings and specific recommendations to senior management.

Manage and develop accounting staff.

Essential Responsibilities
Provides operational accounting support to the business on deals / transactions, including assisting with technical accounting and integration issues
Facilitates successful execution of monthly and quarterly closes by reviewing financial statements prepared by staff (consolidated and unconsolidated entities) and implementing process improvements as needed; Prepares and presents quarterly balance sheet analysis
Ensures proper business controls, including general ledger accounting activities and multiple platform interfaces
Reviews and assists in Monthly and Quarterly Balance Sheet Analysis Schedules prepared by Team
Manages and develops a diverse controllership team.

Provides coaching and training, motivates team to continue to strengthen controllership function
Liason to Corporate GERE Controllership team and Corporate Audit Staff (CAS)
Drives automation and process improvement initiatives across all platforms Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications:
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 8 years of work experience including 5 years accounting experience
Knowledge and experience with financial systems
Controllership, analytical and computer skills
Experience researching and presenting technical accounting related issues.


Project management / integration experienceEligibility Requirements:

Masters Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.


Certified Public Accountant
Experience in commercial real estate
SEC reporting experience
Joint venture and/or fund experience
Highly articulate and confident presenter and communicator
Ability to be proactive in identifying root causes of reconciling items.

Ability to implement procedures to minimize/eliminate reoccurrences
Proven leader with ability to drive change and innovation
Efficient/effective organizational and communication skills fostering an open environment
