Core & Scrap Buyer Job in Las Vegas, Nevada US
Worldwide automotive salvage company seeks a buyer with expertise in gasoline and diesel engine, and transmission identification.
This dynamic company is looking to fill an exciting position for someone who likes to travel and enjoys the interaction of meeting face to face with sellers.
Extensive travel is involved.
Base salary plus incentive with the potential earnings of over 100K annual.

Qualified candidate please submit your resume to resumes [at] payrollsolutions [dot] tv POSITION DESCRIPTIONPosition Title: Core & Scrap buyer Exemption Status: Salaried Reports To: Presidents Work Schedule: VariedPrimary Duties & ResponsibilitiesTravel to suppliers site to identify cores and scrap that is available to buy. Negotiate a price, terms, and payment within the parameters given by management Coordinate pick ups of purchased material with dispatcher and supplier to make sure drivers are not unnecessarily delayed.
Coordinate any special check in requirements with the operations manager Network from existing suppliers to bring in new suppliers Always work in a safe environment and consider the safety of all our employees when making purchases.
Report checks written to accounting department daily Settle quality claims with suppliersKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Requirements Work inside and outside in an industrial yard and warehouse environment Ability to interact with a culturally diverse workforce Knowledge of computer spreadsheets and inventory control practices Working knowledge of off-shore manufacturing/distribution-type operations Experience working in a customer oriented environment Ability to learn telephone sales Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing 3 to 5 years experience in handling and visually identifying engines and transmissions Knowledge of how to identify items using catalogs written and online for items that you are unfamiliar with.
Valid drivers licensePhysical Requirements Extensive travel up to 4 nights per week 40 to 45 weeks a year Work in warehouse salvage yard environment subject to temperature extremes and other weather related conditions Ability to lift 75 pounds and carry it 25 feetQualified candidate please submit your resume attention Marlo to resumes [at] payrollsolutions [dot] tv
