Copack Accountant Job Job in Chicago, Illinois US
Description- Key responsibilities involve the accounting and reporting of variances, period costs, and inventories on a periodic basis.
This role requires regular communication with plant, Plaza Supply Chain Finance personnel to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reported results - Learn SAP transactions and provide support to co-packer as needed.
- Complete account reconciliations using standardized templates and clear reconciling items in a timely manner.
Ensure all journal entries are appropriately authorized and documented - Prepare selected variance, period cost, and inventory work papers during the Cost Accounting period close, reconciling field-reported variances and period costs to general ledger reportingRequirements: - BS in Accounting/Finance, prior experience in a cost accounting or manufacturing accounting role helpful but not require- 1 to 3 years experience in manufacturing and cost accounting.
- Familiarity and experience with accounting transaction systems (general ledger, inventory systems, standard costs systems, etc) - Strong results orientation and problem solving skills - Excel capabilities- SAP knowledge a plus - Excellent accuracy and attention to detail - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to operate effectively as a part of a large team-based environment - Strong internal candidate identified
