Controls Engineer Job in Belvidere 61008, Illinois US
We currently have an opening for a Controls Engineer in the Chicago/Rockford area.
Primary Job Responsibilities: Responsible for developing processes, designing and building of the assembly tooling and equipment, controls, and launching this equipment.
Qualifications and Experience: 4 year technical degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience Experience and demonstrated success in Maintenance/Controls in an Automotive Manufacturing or Assembly facility Must have a working knowledge of automated assembly systems and a good understanding of the basic theory of industrial control systems applications, design, and operation including concepts of power distribution.
Capable of performing the following manufacturing engineering functions: Tooling, process & layout design; quality engineering, ergonomics and safety.
Strong project management skills - able to work on multiple projects simutaneously Strong troubleshooting skills - Experience in training others AutoCAD experience is a plus Ability to troubleshoot and program machine controls (Phoenix Controls, ALlen Bradley-Ladder Logic) Ability to resolve complex system issues Effective oral and written communications skills Microsoft Office tools experience required
