Consumer Product Designer - Industrial Design, Adobe, SolidWorks Job in Providence, Rhode Island US
Product designer who will be involved with the design and development of vehicle and vehicle related products that utilize radio control or similar technologies.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:
Create, design and develop concepts based on vision & scope provided by the design team, both alone and in conjunction with other designers.
Needs to be able to rapidly visualize design ideas in the form of clear sketches and in some instances preliminary models.
Sensitivity towards manufacturing processes and materials.
Needs to be a good communicator and work within a fast paced, creative environment.
Education and Training:
Bachelors degree in Industrial Design or similar creative degree.
Preferred Skills and Abilities: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience:
Experience with Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Solidworks or similar software and related hardware tools.
Ability to draw.
Experience with traditional shop tools
Passion for vehicles and a natural interest in the industryPrior Related Experience:
Previous work or association with the toy or entertainment industries preferred.
