Construction Inspector Job in Honolulu 96858, Hawaii US
***MUST BE US CITIZEN******BACHELOR DEGREE IN CIVIL/MECHANICAL or ELECTRICAL ENGINEER"***EXPERIENCE*** Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience.
*Responsible for surveillance of construction contract operations.
Review and analyze plans and specifications to ensure feasibility of the construction aspects prior to start of the work.
Prepare a daily plan of Quality Assurance (QA) activities to conform to construction schedules and progress.
Perform detailed QA functions for all aspects of construction.
*Review plans and specifications and prepared a checklist of contract features which require periodic attention and list items the contractor must submit for approval prior to installation.
*3 years of qualified specialized experience that my include: practical knowledge of the methods and techniques of inspection and construction, experience in contract negotiation, estimates, modifications, field investigations, construction management, or experience as a construction superintendent.
*Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs.
*Make periodic checks of contractors and inspector work for overall compliance with plans and specifications and other contract and construction requirement.
*Interpret plans and specifications for inspectors and contractors field representatives.
*Promote safety in construction operations and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
