Compound Management AssociateBusiness Unit: Research EuropeDivision: NIBRCompany/Legal Entity: USA Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Inc., Cambridge, MAWork Location: USA - Cambridge, MAPosting Functional Area: ResearchJob Type: Full TimeEmployment Type: PermanentJob Reference Code: 70794BRJob Description: The Novartis Lead Finding Platform (LFP) is looking for a highly motivated individual to be a key contributor in the Compound Management Unit (CMU).
As a member of the Compound Management Unit, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for processing new Novartis compounds and inventory requests through the Compound Hub process.Key Functions: * Primary responsibility will be the handling of all new compound orders, weighing solids in order to create solutions via Tecan liquid handler.
* Responsible to ensure all service level agreements are achieved on a daily basis and to work with scientific staff directly to complete orders.
Minimum Requirements: * A BS degree with a minimum five years of experience working in a compound management or automation group and distribution utilizing automated systems.
* The candidate should have a thorough hands-on knowledge of activities related to many compound management processes, with a practical understanding of inventory management, solution production, quality control methodology, logistics management and service oriented practices.
* Strong skills in automation and robotics are required, with particular emphasis on Agilent Vprep and Bravo and Tecan systems.
* The individual must demonstrate a high level of personal leadership, be self motivated, well-organized, and be able to think strategically.
* Good personal and communication skills.
The ability to work well within a team is a must, along with the ability to be responsive to research partners.
* Individual must be self motivated, well-organized, reliable and able to prioritize workload.
* Working knowledge of MS Office products.
