Communications Satellite Technician Ground InfrastructureWork Location Mt. SES ENGINEERING (SESE) is the operations and procurement organization supporting the SES group of companies as they provide service to their customers.
SESE flies the SES satellites, the worlds most successful commercial telecommunications satellite fleet that are critical links in countless enterprise and government communication networks all over the world.
SESE also manages the largest satellite investment and launch vehicle procurement programme in the industry and it operates the SES spacecraft, the worlds largest video distribution platform, delivering thousands of TV and radio channels to millions of people across the globe.

Responsibilities
Support all installation, operations, and maintenance functions of the South Mountain Teleport
Support all equipment maintenance programs (preventative, scheduled, and unscheduled)
Use diagnostic test equipment to systematically analyze, interpret, troubleshoot and restore services
Help maintain current, accurate station documentation, activity logs, ticket systems and station labeling
Help resolve off-hours emergency service and teleport operational issuesExperience / Qualifications
High School diploma required; Trade school or military training in electronics or communication systems preferred
Minimum of 1 year satellite communication technical experience; 3 years preferred
Minimum of 1 year teleport/earth station experience; 3 years preferred
SATCOM, broadband, telecommunications, digital video and TCP/IP technical skills
Ability to work rotating shifts and be on call 24x7x365 for off-hours emergencies
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and climb ladders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a culturally diverse organization
