For more information, please visit www.flextronics.com.The Commodity Manager will support the development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide Flextronics segments and business groups with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance.
Working closely with the Supply Chain team / Local Management, the Commodity Manager will communicate and implement strategies, contracts and pricing to all regions with an overall focus on maintaining good supplier relationships and costs to a minimum to achieve maximum advantage for the company and its customers.
Establish and manage long term strategic and core supplier relationships and will engage with Flextronics sites and business segments Guide the selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity costs and performance goals Organize and manage the commodity team with a focus on talent acquisition, retention and development and performance appraisal.
Implement programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management and supply base optimization Provide Quotation centers with support from core and strategic suppliers in order to obtain competitive and timely quotes Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges.
Develop, implement and communicate tactical and strategic commodity plans internally and to Flextronics customers as appropriate Collaborate with Customer Supply Chain Managers and Product Introduction centers to coordinate sourcing strategies and ensure a smooth and timely manufacturing ramp on new programs Provide access to leading technology, product roadmaps, technology strategies and industry trends.
Provide point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce Job Requirements: Bachelors in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field 7-10 years experience in purchasing, sourcing, supplier management in a manufacturing environment Experience in supporting new product development activities Experienced in project management with team-builiding and leadership expertise Desired (Nice to Have) Skills: MBA Apics, ISM, APS, or PMI certified Medical manufacturing experience to include FDA, ISO and GMP Global sourcing exposure to include Asia, Europe, Latin America Flextronics is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
