Commodity Manager – Advance Supplier Quality Job in 48034
Position Description: Commodity Manager Advance Supplier QualityIn this position, the selected candidate will be responsible for the direct management of approximately 17 Supplier Quality Engineers.
The team is responsible for Supplier Quality activities within four (4) assembly plants covering several thousand electrical / electronic, metallic, and mechanical component parts and hundreds of suppliers.
Additionally, the selected candidate will need to ensure the team drives the supply base to meet timing deliverables (ie Production Part Approval Process, Product Demonstration Run, etc.) for all components as well as assist Supplier Quality Engineers with root cause problems.
Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited universityMinimum of 10 years of Quality or Supplier Quality work experiencePrevious supervisory experience required Preferred Qualifications Masters Degree preferredBlack Belt or Problem Solving trainingEvidence of continuing education/training Other Requirements Experience with automotive supplier quality processesStrong and proven problem solving skillsStrong understanding of Advanced Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process, Product Demonstration Run, etc.Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteCompensation The ideal candidate can anticipate a competitive and attractive salary and benefit package.
