Collateral Analyst Job in Stamford 06902, Connecticut US
RBS is seeking an entry-level Collateral Analyst to support the Mortgage and Asset-Backed Finance teams based in Stamford, CT. The candidate will report to Scott Gimpel., Managing Director and Head of the Collateral Analyst Program.
The role of the collateral analyst is to analyze mortgage and asset-backed loan portfolios, working directly with bankers, traders, underwriters, accountants, and our clients to stratify and market portfolios for trades and securitizations.
They work within a relational database, manipulating, analyzing, reporting and managing loan-level data.

Responsibilities include: Analytical functions include loading, updating, and normalizing data, summary and detailed reporting, and edit/error analysis.
Providing all parties including clients, internal departments and management with prompt, detailed and accurate analysis as well as portfolio reports and presentationsDeveloping and executing SQL queries to fulfill specificationsSolving data and system issuesPreparing reports, presentations and other materials using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and similar computer applications Requirements The successful candidate for this role will have the following attributes: Recent college graduate or 1-2 years of experienceBA/BS degreePossess Strong analytical and quantitative skillsAbility to analyze, collect and communicate complex information.
Must have strong skill level in SQL, relational databases, and Microsoft Excel Linux, Powerpoint, Visual Basic, Visual Studio a plusExcellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as a team player; ability to think outside the box.
