Clinical Scientist Job in San Diego 92121, California US
Position Description: SummaryUnder minimal supervision, the scope of this position is responsible for independent clinical research implementing strategies and tactics formulated to accomplish overall department objectives, in coordination with scientific staff in related functions and departments.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Design and authorship of clinical study plans, protocols, case report forms, and study reports in support of department research projects and guidelines.
Compose robust strategies that maximize effective use of resources and time to deliver optimum information.
Participate as an integral member of the scientific staff in formulating clinical research strategy and methodology.
Provide recommendations and observations to scientific staff and management on results of projects/tasks.
Play a key role in the formulation of research strategies and tactics.
Innovate research methods and product formulation to resolve problems and accomplish company objectives.
Pro-actively recommend strategy to overcome hurdles.
Maintain records of activities and notebooks in a professional, accurate manner.
May provide support to regulatory and intellectual property activities.
Develop and maintain working relationships with clinical investigators.
Must possess and exercise very strong organizational skills, along with time management, internal/external communication, and be independently motivated.
Operate equipment and conduct tasks in a safe manner, adhering to established guidelines and applicable regulations.
Travel to scientific conferences and investigator meetings as necessary.
Initiate literature review and searches to support ongoing research activities.
Generate oral and written reports as necessary and to summarize activities and projects.
Initiate communication with related staff and functions as necessary to coordinate activities effectively.
Knowledgeable of federal and other regulations, eg GCP, QSRs, ISO, ISO 13485, CMDR
Other responsibilities as assigned.

MS degrees in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, or Medical Related fields with more than eight years industry may also be considered.
Preferred experiential background: A minimum of eight years (MS) or five years (MD or PhD) of clinical research experience with substantial experience in the above areas.
Demonstrated skills in carrying out innovative research with minimal guidance in an accurate, effective manner.
Able to work with a variety of people on multiple tasks.
Backgrounds in cardiology, oncology, infectious disease, clinical testing, or method development
