Clinical Laboratory Scientist Job in Ukiah 95418, California US
Our client, an established company in the greater Ukiah area, has immediate need for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
Candidates would be responsible for performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical procedures as well as providing analyses of data for health maintenance, treatment, diagnoses and monitoring of medical conditions.
In this position, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist would be working directly under the laboratory director.
Requirements: -Baccalaureate degree in Clinical Lab Sciences or related field-Current California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist License-Must have recent experience working in Blood Bank-At least 2 years of related field experience including Hematology, Urinalysis, Chemistry and Bacteriology preferred.
-Literate in computer applications preferred-Ability to present information well to small group situations (customers, clients, and employees)Tasks/Duties: - Verify the proper specimen being analyzed for patients and perform correct tests that need to be completed.
- Analyze clinical laboratory specimens following the standard methods and procedures - Performs quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of clinical data- Validates test results through correlation with test parameters (platelet count/smear, anion gap, Hgb/Hct, dipstick/micro, etc. - Complete routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on instruments and equipment- Trains laboratory assistants on proper techniques and procedures related to clinical laboratory practiceFor immediate and confidential consideration, a great opportunity for the advancement in your career, please contract Justine Fernandez at (916)431-3926.
