Claims Systems Analyst Job in Richmond 23220, Virginia US
VaPremier Health Plan, Inc., the "Top Ranked" Medicaid Health plan in Virginia is seeking a dynamic Claims Systems Analyst to join our growing team in Richmond, VA.The Systems Analyst position is responsible for developing an extensive expertise in the IDX Managed Care Application (MCA) and all interface applications, both customized and packaged.
This position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining assigned Claims Department systems for the program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the maintenance of IDX Managed Care Application (MCA) dictionaries, system configuration for benefit plans, Fee schedule loads and claim analysis.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as claims department point of contact for a program application Understanding all aspects of program operations, including policies and procedures, program guidelines, file layouts and requirements, general rules and regulations.
Essentially, becomes the expert on the program Maintain and support claims as assigned, including stand-alone software systems and GE/IDX functionality Manage projects for the program that may involve other departments and/or personnel Maintain and support a system(s) that may cross other programs within the company Work in cooperation with other company analysts and staff to accomplish business objectives Create, understand and articulate data regarding program operations Assist claims department in other activities as directed MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related technical field.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products 3 -5 years experience writing SQL queries in SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 2 -3 years MS SQL server experience including: SQL Server Analysis Services 2005/2008, SQL Server Reporting Services 2005/2008, SQL Server Integration Services 2005/2008 Strong knowledge of software implementation / development life cycle Strong documentation skills required Excellent communication/teamwork skills Project management experience Knowledge of GE products and applications helpful Knowledge of 837 and 835 record layouts helpful Experience with developing process flowchartsVirginia Premier Health Plan Inc. is ranked in the Top 25 Best Medicaid Health Plans in the Nation and is the Top Ranked Medicaid Health Plan in Virginia.
