Position Description: Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims.
Authorizes the appropriate payment or refers claims to investigators for further review.
Conducts data entry and re-work; analyzes and identifies trends and provides reports as necessary.

Qualifications: 2+ years experience in a supervisory or manager role required including experience with claim forecasting, staffing and scheduling at least 15+ direct reports; preferably in a healthcare claims role1 - 3 years goal setting, mentoring and process improvement experience required; preferably in a production environmentUnderstanding of provider contracts and reimbursements methodology preferredAdjustment processing knowledge is preferredPC skills (e.
g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) requiredClaims processing experience requiredStrong investigative and research skills requiredAnalytical and documentation writing skills required- writing sample will be required (mentoring corrective action plan, analyzed a cost savings opportunity, etc.)BS/BA degree Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere: equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V UnitedHealth Group is a drug-free workplace.
