Position Description: Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims.
Authorizes the appropriate payment or refers claims to investigators for further review.
Conducts data entry and re-work; analyzes and identifies trends and provides reports as necessary.

Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in a professional leadership role within a processing business3 - 5 years of experience setting goals and implementing procedures3 - 5 years of experience working in a healthcare environmentStrong PC skills (e.
g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a plusKnowledge of Human Resource policies and proceduresDemonstrates negotiation, influencing and analytical skillsSix Sigma experience is a plusBS/BA degree is preferredExperience with system and product implementations preferredProven leadership skillsModel ethics and integrityServes as a coach and fosters career development of othersEmpowers and motivates othersBuilds strong business relationshipsStrong oral and written communicationCan handle more than one priorityWillingness to make changes to improve performance Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere: equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V UnitedHealth Group is a drug-free workplace.
