Civil/Structural Engineers - Chattanooga, TN Job in Chattanooga 37402, Tennessee US
Position Description: This position will offer you the opportunity to work with a diverse and highly qualified, multi-discipline team of design and engineering professionals on a wide range of interesting and challenging power projects.You will have responsibilities to work on the design of new power facilities as well as on major modifications to existing nuclear power stations.
Your responsibilities will include a broad range of activities, including analysis, structural steel, concrete, foundations, component supports, and equipment anchorage design.You will also be involved in the design and analysis for complex load conditions, including seismic, wind, thermal, pressurization, and blast effects.
In the execution of your design activities, you will interface with a wide range of client personnel and Sargent & Lundy management.You will also have the opportunity to travel to project sites as necessary.
To Apply Visit Sargent & Lundy LLCQualifications: BS or MS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering along with at least 5 years of engineering experience working on power plant or industrial design and/or modification projects.
Experience with commercial analysis and design software, such as STRUDL, STAAD, SAP, SAFE and Mathcad as well as knowledge of steel and concrete design codes are required.
Prior experience working on nuclear power plant projects is a plus.
Good written and verbal communication skills are necessary along with computer proficiency.
