Cisco Systems Engineer Job in Marlborough, Massachusetts US
Position Title: Cisco Network Engineer Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the day to day operation of the Local Area Network (LAN) and the Wide Area Network (WAN) and associated services.
Summary of Duties: Network Administration Primary goal is to reduce downtime and maintain the capacity for future growth.
This includes the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance for the multisite LAN and WAN architecture, equipment and related services.
ISP Administration - Maintain Internet Service Provider accounts, connectivity, uptime and documentation.
Documentation Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks and update for each network change.
Logging Monitor and maintain centralized logging server aggregating logs from network devices and critical servers.
Remote Access Configure and maintain remote access technologies and access such as VPN, RDC etc. DNS and Registrar - Configure and maintain public DNS, domain registry and transfers as needed.
Server Administration and Management Setup, administer, maintain and support physical and virtual servers including Windows 2kX, Ubuntu Linux and VMware ESX. Server Application Management Administration of server bound applications such as Apache, IIS, Active Directory, Exchange, VMware and others.
Tier 3 Support - Troubleshoot and resolve higher level issues when escalated.
Qualifications8 + years experience in technology and systems admin.
4 year college degree in computer science or related discipline CCNA or higher certification or equivalent Cisco knowledge and experience using routers and firewalls.
Familiarity with HP Procurve Switches MCSA/MCSE certification or equivalent knowledge and experience Comfortable with *nix command line Project management, organizational and prioritizing skillsFor immediate consideration, please submit resume to kakreuz [at] hollisterstaff [dot] com .
