Chief Financial Officer-Jefferson County Job in Birmingham 35203, Alabama US
The Personnel Board of Jefferson County is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for Jefferson County, Alabama.
The CFO will oversee all financial operations, fiscal management and administrative programs for the County, as well as the directing of budget administration including the preparation, implementation and execution of programs and initiatives.
Requirements : Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or highly related fieldMinimum of seven 7 years of progressive experience in finance, to include all of the following: Experience managing complex financial systems Experience with long-range financial planning and long-term projections of operations, cash flow, and financial condition Experience establishing and determining financial policies, including maintenance of debt and debt management Experience with municipal bonds and securities Experience making accurate forecasts of revenues, expenditures, and year-end fund balance projections Experience developing and implementing the financial management goals and objectives of a company or government organization Experience working with a county commission, city council, or board of directors to establish policies and formulate goals Experience providing oversight and direction over complex analysis and fiscal impact studies Experience providing oversight of internal and external audits Experience analyzing interest rate swaps and other derivative transactions Experience working in or overseeing the following areas: Finance, Revenue, and Budget ManagementFor more information and to apply online, go to www.jobsquest.org .
