Performs all types of facility splicing, construction and maintenance work.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs all types of cable construction and maintenance work including customer location reconcentrations up to and including cross-connection to Central Office/pair gain units and associated equipment.

Repairs and rehabilitates drop wire, station protector and grounding.

Performs all voice, data and video services, rearrangements associate with work order.

Responds to call outs.

Tools And Equipment Used: Hand tools 3-M Modular Splicer Cable Acceptance Test Equipment Cable Locator 260 VOM T-137 & T-137 Noise Meters Fiber Optic Splicers testing equipment Bucket truck or van Numerous other tools May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required by the Company.

Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) while on the job. Basic Qualifications: Tests - Results obtained in standard tests for this position must meet minimum requirements established by the Company.

Must possess a valid Indiana state driver's license.

College Degree Preferred.

Previous electronics training and/or related "outside" work experience typically gained through such positions as Telecommunication Technician, Installer Maintainer, or Cable Technician.

Ability to work independently and desire to work "face-to-face" with customer.

Willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

Physical Requirements: Climbing poles and ladders; lifting 50-100 pounds on a regular basis; pushing, reaching, bending and stooping; manual dexterity; good sense of balance; and good color vision.

Verizon offers: Hourly rate for this position is $15.

25 - $26.08. Wage credit may be granted for related work experience and/or college degree.
