CLINICAL INFORMATION MANAGER - EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT Job in Kingston 12401, New York US

As a CIM, you work for physicians in an administrative/clerical capacity directly in the Emergency Department of a hospital.
You do not provide hands-on patient care.

As a Clinical Information Manager (CIM), you will provide direct clerical support to an attending ED physician and therefore aid in expediting patient flow in the ED. Take accurate notes while witnessing the physician-patient encounter or while receiving dictation from the physician Transcribe clinical information into a state-of-the-art electronic medical record to document the patient visit, in real-time, for every patient evaluated by the physician Track the clinical tests ordered by the physician and periodically update the physician on the status Select appropriate evaluation / procedural codes for insurance billing Day, evening, and overnight shifts are available, seven days a week.
We have positions in Emergency Departments in the following locations (please see our company website for a complete list of open positions): Kingston, NY Candidates must have computer/typing proficiency; excellent listening, note-taking, and communication skills (written and verbal); the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of medical terminology; educational background in sciences/health care related fields; experience volunteering, shadowing, or working in health care.
Our minimum requirement is a high school degree because college students are welcome to apply! Many of our employees have Bachelor's, Master's, and even Doctorate-level degrees.
