The Category Director Worldwide Knee Portfolio Strategy & Branding is responsible for contributing to and execution of the long-range portfolio strategic plan for the global knee businesses.

This position is responsible for identifying and evaluating market opportunities for the knee businesses.

This individual should be the global subject matter expert for the knee business, understanding global trends, competitive intelligence, product performance and evidence requirements.

Additionally, this individual will develop global product launch forecasts and launch execution plans, including professional and sales training strategies.

This individual will also assist in the creation and delivery strong, consistent WW brand messages via various media through collaboration with the regional marketing teams and cross franchise marketing team.

Identify new product development ideas.

Provide input into product concept evaluation for initial designs in conjunction with R&D.

Develop pre-launch - 24 months production forecast in conjunction with Operations.

Allocate commercial launch quantity, coordinating handoff to regional marketing group.

Responsible for execution of global launch based on WW focus market strategy, supporting regional launch execution.

Develop global produce marketing materials in collaboration with the Constellation Group.

Develop rationalization plans with responsibility for providing replacement product, supporting regional marketing and local sales groups in the execution product rationalization plan.

Collect voice of customer for input into product design by engaging regional marketing and sales teams.

Establish global product pricing strategy including pricing bands.

Develop professional education and sales training strategy, supporting the execution of the strategies.

Develop global brand messaging and positioning for new and existing brands, reviewing, strengthening and updating those global brand messages.

Develop instrument strategy, working with Operations to identify cost reduction opportunities.

Maintain strong working relationship with surgeon design consultants.

Develop and assemble information and presentations, communicating relevant information to various stakeholders.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.

A minimum of five years of Marketing, Product Management, Product Marketing or Branding/Marketing experience required.

Experience in the medical device industry required; orthopedic experience preferred.

Upstream, strategic marketing experience required.

Demonstrated success in brand communications, project management, planning and execution, including product branding, positioning, marketing plan development required.

Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills required.

Demonstrated strong strategic and analytical capabilities required.

Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate with a wider marketing, business intelligence, R&D, operations, finance, medical affairs, clinical, and regulatory organizations required.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines required.

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and other employees, as well as with the company's business partners required.

Ability to utilize either written or oral communications skills to produce effective marketing promotion materials that accomplish department goals/objectives required.

Ability to make effective marketing presentations to small and large groups required.

Approximately 40% international and/or domestic travel required, including some weekend travel.
