Buyer Job in Waltham 02451, Massachusetts US
Harvey Building Products is the leading independent manufacturer and wholesale distributor of quality building products in the Northeast! We are searching for a Buyer in our Waltham, MA Corporate Office.
Responsibilities: Utilizes SAP Materials Management System for: Planned orders and requisitions to release purchase orders for assigned commodities or spend category electronically with approved suppliers.
Buyer/Planner will be responsible for the assigned commodity or spend category across all plants.
Evaluates suppliers for performance, quality, and cost.
Supports (being a part of and/or leading) continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements: SAP Material Management or similar ERP systems is preferredBachelor's degree in a related field or 5 years purchasing experience in systems based environment preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skillsMust be highly detailed and able to work on multiple tasks independently with little direct supervision in a fast paced environment.
