Business Systems Analyst - US Branded Cards Job in New Jersey US
Description Job Summary As a key member of US Bankcard Projects, the Business System Analyst will work with various business and technology partners and the vendor company throughout project phases including initiation, concept, analysis, development, testing and implementation.
The primary focus for this role is to provide research, analysis and documentation of business requirements, including operational and customer impact under supervision.
In addition, the Analyst will manage Bankcard system configuration changes in support of business strategies delivering quality solutions on time and on budget.
Job Description/Accountabilities Work with business stakeholders and technology partners internal and external to analyze, develop and recommend technical solutions which support business strategies Responsible for analyzing solution options, technical feasibility, strategic design considerations, and cost analysis, prior to making recommendations to business owners or sponsors Manage TS1, TS2 and/or TRIAD configuration changes while managing dependencies and risks associated with timing of multiple changes, across multiple projects Consult with clients and/or project teams, assuming the lead role when necessary Provide daily support for assigned projects according to established policies and procedures.
Participate in implementation and post implementation activities eg Deployment, Contingency Planning, First Occurrence Verification and Lessons Learned Participate in choosing vendor/supplier solutions and work with vendors and/or internal partners to prioritize new and existing projects against requirements and business objectives Documents selected system parameters, file layouts and application design layouts.
Track open issues and resolution of issues.
Ensures that work conforms to policies and procedures to maintain standards for data processing, risk management and data security.
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Additional Qualifications/Skills/ Experience 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
3-5 years related industry experience Knowledge of the card processing industry practices, products and services.
Expert knowledge of business analysis principles Knowledge of TS1, TS2 and TRIAD technical environments Previous experience working on projects of medium to high complexity Experience with the Quality Management processes Sound knowledge of the various banking channels eg IVR, in store, web, telephone, etc. Leadership skills and desire to assume responsibility for deliverables Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills Ability to develop strong relationships with peers, customers and partners Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver against goals with a strong focus on details The successful candidate will be results-driven and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Understand how the interrelationship of processes, technologies, and people create results
