Business Process Analyst / Modeler Job in New York, New York US
Business Process Analyst / Modeler Functions: Utilize your strong problem solving capabilities; using innovative solutions and incorporating process, system, and people initiativesProcess modeling ability to use standard business process modeling software (WBM) to document current and future state business and system flowsAbility to capture business process through interviews with business and IT stakeholdersAbility to manage complex business processes and quickly indentify the interactions of these processesProcess improvement ability to use process-driven methodology to restructure complex situations and present them in a simple fashionDetermine data required to support a certain process or decisionIdentify effective methods of gathering such data and analyzing it effectivelyBusiness Process Analyst / Modeler Qualifications: Strong understanding of processes, and ability to quickly map a process to identify opportunities for improvement and suggest alternatives for improving the processStrong process improvement and process re-design (reengineering) skills such as reduction of processing cycle times, increase in productivity, enhancement of quality, removal of rework, etc.Leverage common methodologies including Lean, Six Sigma, Simulations, or Theory of ConstraintsMust be data drivenStrong analytical skills are requiredMust have a technology focus familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology with the ability to derive business requirements based on the current and future-state process maps as well as the ability to effectively document them using common templates such as Business Requirement Document (BRD), Functional Specifications, and Business CasesAbility to effectively interact with technical leaders and programmers to ensure proper translation of business requirements into the software developedMust have strong implementation focus and experience in leading projects throughout all phases; from identification, to analysis, to implementation and controlStrong Change Management experience
