Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is recruiting for a Business Manager in Los Alamos, NM. About our Company: Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is a premier contractor for the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) providing environmental, renewable energy and energy efficiency, nuclear, information technology, and quality and safety services.
Job Description: ROLES: 50-75% - Manage contracts/subcontracts, perform EVMS analysis and reporting, project controls, task and change order negotiation for subcontractors and the client on a multi-million per year contract.
25-50% - Business development and proposals in other areas of strategic interest to Navarro at Los Alamos RESPONSIBILITIES: The Business Manager is responsible for: - Leading acquisition of critical resources necessary to accomplish the Business Services support and oversight functions.
- Overall proposal management for tasks and change orders- Developing project schedules and budgets for tasks and change orders- EVMS management and project controls - Ensures compliance with corporate and client requirements for facilities management, inventory control, procurement activities, and financial management and accounting.
- Establishing and enhancing partnerships and relationships with the client and stakeholders.
- Ensuring Business Services performance objectives are met through supporting projects and program functions on time, within budget, and that meet technical and business expectations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Business Services Manager is accountable to the Project Manager and the Los Alamos Office Manager for the following: - Maintaining positive internal and external customer relations.
- Ensuring safe, secure, and compliant operations.
- Ensuring the quality of the working environment.
AUTHORITIES: The Business Services Manager has the following authority: - Take needed actions to ensure safe, secure, environmentally compliant Business Services operations.
- Commit Business Services resources to respond to internal and external customer needs.
- Approve Business Services self-assessment plans.
- Authorize expenditure of Business Services funds.
Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar administrative subject matter.
Experience: - Contract management experience in a Department of Energy related position required.
- Ability to perform all aspects of project controls for complex tasks and to provide EVMS reporting internally and to the client.
- Minimum of ten years experience with progressively increasing responsibility in administrative and management analysis and studies as appropriate in the functional areas described above under responsibilities.
- Experience in supervision and coordination requiring complex decisions.
Minimum Demonstrated Qualifications: - Ability to follow established policies and procedures.
- Performance of related work tasks providing full, accurate and complete documentation of efforts and outcome.
- Safety awareness and a record of maintaining a safe work environment.
