MasterCard Worldwide Job Description: Support the development of product strategy by MasterCard's Core Products and Innovative Platforms groups via the development and execution of market research and analysis platforms.

Provide actionable market insights that drive business decisions by these groups via the integration and synthesis of primary research, secondary data & syndicated resources.

This role is within the Intelligence & Planning function within MasterCard's Worldwide Marketing & Communications group.

Summary of Responsibilities: ' Partner with Product Planning Lead and functional stakeholders to identify intelligence needs and to socialize Global Intelligence's approaches for meeting such needs.

Develop and nurture relationships with functional stakeholders

1. Core Products: Consumer Credit, Commercial, Debit, Prepaid, Integrated Processing Solutions and PayPass products2.

Innovative Platforms: eCommerce, Mobile, Chip, P2P, Payment Gateway, inControl, Orbiscom, Cardholder Solutions, Bill Payment, Healthcare and Emerging/Innovative Platforms products' Design and execute integrated market research programs that address the business needs of the Core Products and Innovative Platforms groups.

Ensure that research results are translated into actionable recommendations that drive informed and impactful decision making by these groups.

' Champion the utilization and integration of multiple information sources and methodologies to generate robust insights and recommendations.

' Develop a tool kit of research approaches for supporting the identification, screening, development and in-market testing of new Products and Platforms.

Ensure alignment with New Product/Platform Development and Go-to-Market processes.

' Establish and socialize standards and best practices for the conduct of Products and Platforms market research and analysis.

' Collaborate with Regional Intelligence leads to share standards and best practices.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ideal candidate will possess and embody the following: ' 7+ years of market research experience, preferably within a financial services organization or a top research/intelligence company serving the financial services industry.

' Specific, in-depth market research experience within financial services products and solutions covering: o All stages of the products/platforms lifecycle, including new products/platforms ideation and development.

o B2C and B2B.

' Deep expertise in intelligence tools and techniques (qualitative and quantitative market research, secondary and syndicated data sources, analytical methodologies and tools).

' Strong ability to interact with, influence, and build consensus across a variety of internal business partners and levels of leadership, external partners & clients, and service providers.

' Superior written and verbal communications skills.

' Highly developed presentation skills.

' Strong analytical, creative problem solving & solution development skills.

' Well-developed ability to think strategically by positioning intelligence findings within broader business contexts.

' Structured and detail-oriented thinker and planner.

' Entrepreneurial, self-managed, results-driven.

' Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities.

' Experience working with international markets.

Education: ' Degree in marketing / marketing research or behavioral/social science.

MBA preferred.
