Business Development Manager - NYCDescription: Business Development ManagerNew York CityDirect Hire/Full Time/In-House PositionStaffing CompanyThe Business Development Manager has the responsibility for establishing strategic priorities for the revenue growth of his/her assigned territory.

The primary focus will be establishing new customer relationships, along with some maintaining and growing of business within existing clientele.

This includes establishing near and short-term plans in conjunction with the Management team to achieve the Company's goals while creating a strong value-based brand with the customer base.

The Business Development Manager will be held accountable for consistently increasing revenue through the acquisition of new business and expansion of existing accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage assigned territory in an organized and systematic fashion.

Develop business through a combination of methods that may include all or in part: research, lead generation, prospecting, networking and in-person appointments with new and inactive customers.

Focus business development and diversification in keeping with regional and national strategy.

Be responsible for ensuring the creation and maintenance of business plans utilizing CRM, with targeted new accounts and completely mapped territories and calendars.

Generate viable job orders from new and inactive accounts.

Generate leads through prospecting and cold calling, both in-person and via telephone and other electronic media.

Turn customer inquiries into orders.

Take accurate job descriptions and understand company requirements and cultures so that an accurate match can be made.

Research potential new business and current customers.

Maintain active participation and membership in networking organizations.

Meet all minimum requirements for weekly appointment activity and revenue growth.

Be responsible for ensuring completion of all required sales reports and detailed documentation, including timely entry of data into Volt's CRM and other automated systems.

Maintain consistency and integrity of data.

Partner with Recruiting teams to ensure delivery to customer requisitions.

Participate in sales and training seminars geared toward Branch Recruiting teams.

Meet with Senior BDM, Vice-President and inside staff on a regular basis to communicate all customer service priorities and business/sales opportunities.

Provide information on customers or prospects for bids and proposals within assigned territory.

Help set sales strategy and direction for the Region.

Foster teamwork both inter and intra-divisional.

Develop and expand sales competency by continuing education and participation in training and seminars.

Perform special assignments and complete projects as needed.

This is a Direct Hire, Full Time position offered through Volt Information Sciences, a leading national provider of Staffing Services, Telecommunications and Information Solutions for its Fortune 100 customer base.

Operating through a network of over 300 Volt Services Group locations, the Staffing Services segment fulfills IT and other technical, commercial and industrial placement requirements of its customers, on both a temporary and direct hire basis.

The Telecommunications and Information Solutions businesses provide complete telephone directory production and directory publishing; a full spectrum of telecommunications construction, installation and engineering services; and advanced information and operator services systems for telephone companies.

Requirements: Business Development Manager Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.

Preference would be for a person with Staffing and IT or Engineering experience.

Typical qualifications would be equivalent to the following: Extensive Sales experience in a Services environment preferred Two (2) years of experience servicing, supporting, developing and generating major accounts Two (2) years of experience as a Business Development Manager Management or Supervisory experience preferred Recruiting experience highly preferred Technical background highly preferred Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in comparable field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredPlease no Corp to Corp responses at this time.
