 The Carrier Product Management team is seeking a Business Analyst to support Benefitfocus Enterprise applications.

As a Business Analyst, you will design software solutions that meet clients needs and drive those solutions through the software development process.

You must be able to rapidly become an expert in the current functionality of our systems and gather and document requirements that describe the desired changes related to the Benefitfocus Enterprise applications.

  The Business Analyst will work closely with the User Experience Group (UxG), Software Engineering and Quality Assurance teams to design create and launch software solutions that meet client needs.

 Design New Software Products and New Features for Existing Software Products Independently develop in-depth knowledge of our existing Software as a Service products Conduct research by exploring clients needs directly with them or through other Benefitfocus associates Conduct online research into other software products, industry trends, industry legislation, etc. Define new software functionality related to health insurance, employee benefits, human resources, etc. Create well-organized, detailed business requirements documents and software design documents Collaborate with the User Experience Group (UxG) to modify existing user interfaces or create new interfaces Collaborate with Other Associates to Successfully Drive Software Projects to Completion Take ownership of software features and drive them to completionproviding project management support Devise creative, implementable solutions to challenging software functionality and design issues Solve problems and make good tradeoffs to keep projects on track without compromising business goals Develop and maintain strong working relationships with associates on other teams Work with Quality Assurance to ensure that our applications are solid and ready for clients Work with the Product Documentation team to create detailed release notes, help files, and other documents The Business Analyst must be able to: Multi-task effectivelyworking quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, rapidly changing software company Interact professionally with software engineers and other internal clients at all levels Create detailed, thorough, accurate business requirements and design documents Proactively drive software projects to completion, solving problems and removing roadblocks to successExperience and Skills: BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience at an exempt level Two to four years experience as a technical writer or Business Analyst responsible for documenting enterprise level system changes Experience analyzing business processes and documenting technical requirements Proven success in driving software projects to completion, solving problems and removing roadblocks Ability to meet project deadlines where strong attention to detail is required Ability to build strong working relationships and establish credibility with software engineers Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong negotiation, presentation, verbal and written communication skills Previous experience working with products in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment Benefitfocus has experienced outstanding growth by delivering the best technology available, providing world-class customer service, and operating a financially responsible company.
