Business Analyst - Medicaid Job in Oakland, California US
The Project Analyst will provide high quality, cost effective project administration and analytic support.
This position will have two tracks: Data Driven: Assists in the development and implementation of a long-term data quality strategy, which is focused on: analyzing core data to identify quality gaps, executing reporting processes to track, trend, and disseminate cross-regional Metrics for the National Medicaid TeamWorks with internal and external parties to organize various components needed to facilitate metric cyclesPerforms data analysis upon identification of variances and prepares summary of key findingsAdministrative: Works closely with Program Manager and Executive Leadership to prepare and update documents, presentations and other project related material as neededSupports cross-regional document management processes, maintenance of project plans, and schedule/meeting coordinationResponsibilities: Establishes a data quality methodology documenting a repeatable set of processes for determining, investigating, and resolving data quality issues, establishing an on-going process for maintaining quality data, and defining data quality audit procedures.
Synthesizes data analysis to identify and summarize key findingsUpdates/Maintains Medicaid Metrics work planCoordinates team/project activities and schedulesMaintains Medicaid document repositoryProduces high quality, high level project and executive documents and presentationsThe skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position include (items are required unless noted otherwise): Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or other related fields3+ years of related analytical and project management experienceAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a pressured environmentKnowledge in data collection, research, and analysis preparationDemonstrated ability to organize, coordinate, and execute on detailsExperience with web interface project repositories; must have enough technical experience to learn how the application works and be able to maintain and modify the current configurationExperience in coordinating small to medium scale projectsExcellent communications skillsDemonstrated ability to develop effective written presentations for executive level audiencesProficient in MS Project and MS PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Excel
