Building Systems Manager (Hospital and Union Exp Req) Job in New York 10016, New York US
Position Summary: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree as well as two years hospital union trade supervision experience, or 10 years extensive facilities experience, and a strong knowledge of building codes.
The Building Services Manager will be responsible for supervising all activities of the paint and carpentry shop including direct supervision of foreman, mechanics and helpers.
Day to day responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following: Preventive maintenance and on-going facility maintenance Scheduling paint and carpentry shop staff, Supervision of paint and carpentry shop activities Prepare and monitor budgets Ensure proper documentation (per the preventive maintenance policies) Project Development/Management Staff development Finally, Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills are a must as is the ability to handle multiple priority objectives at once with full regard to safety, code, compliance and budgetary constraints.
Proficiency in Excel and other Miscrosoft Office applications are required as well.
