The Project Manager is responsible for working with technical operations to ensure that all projects they are responsible for proceed appropriately and meet the timelines, budget, and specifications of the project.

The Project Manager is assigned projects under the guidance of the Sr Project Manger.Duties: 1. Manages technical projects within custom services business.

Examples of typical projects include but are not limited to the following: cell line development and banking, protein production and purification, bioreactor optimization and feed strategies, custom media optimization, and media stability protocols2.

Establishes project schedules ensuring timely completion of the tasks.

Communicates scheduling information to team.

Obtains customer approval of the final timeline and manages subsequent changes to the timeline post-approval.

Supports the technical operations team in managing to project goals and expectations (Statement of Work SOW)3 Responsible for tracking the execution of the timelines and deliverables for each of their designated accounts using GANTT charts or other Project Management tools.

Shares tools with program stakeholders.

Ensures all project activities are communicated appropriately, are maintained and current in Program Tracking Database.

4 Responsible for assembling, analyzing, reporting and posting metrics around service, quality and communication for the project and for reporting these both internally and externally to the client as required5 Responsible for facilitating project meetings through agendas, meeting management, and meeting minutes.

Schedules and executes Project Kick-off, routine Project Update meetings, and Project Close-out meetings for assigned projects6 Responsible for working with Technical Operations to evaluate the results and/or assessing the impact of any unexpected deviations from timelines.

PM supports dispute resolution for any emerging issues7 Responsible for highlighting client issues to the Sr Project Manager, R&D Leads, Commercial Leads, and the GM of PDD for ensuring client feedback is managed through the appropriate channels8 Prepares regular project reports including revenue updates and capacity/resource planning for PD-Direct.

Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience leading and aligning project teams and have excellent communication/customer service skills.

Interpersonal skill sets and experience should include: dealing with conflict in a team environment, successful communication with external customers, escalating issues to senior management when necessary.

The ideal candidate should have experience participating in cross-functional project teams.

They should have a minimum of 2 years experience leading laboratory based projects.

Formal training regarding the basics of Project Management methodology and the use of those tools (ie MS Project) preferred.

Candidate should have BS/BA in the Sciences or Engineering (Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Engineering) with 2-3 years of technical experience; an MS is preferred.

Must be a good team player, an effective communicator, and have an ability to address customer needs for order processing.
