Biomedical Mechanical Engineer Job in Fort Detrick 21702, Maryland US

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Fort Detrick, Maryland.

The successful candidate will serve as the General Engineer for the Medical Support Systems Project Management Office.
Advise on, administer, supervise, or perform research or scientific work involving non-medical and medical equipment.
Develop preliminary and conceptual design processes as well as the detailed design of non-medical and medical equipment and provide expert technical advice and direction to program managers and vendors.
Resolve problems, extend and modify techniques, and/or apply new, innovative, or experimental general engineering theories.
Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life-cycle cost and equipment selection.
Conduct surveys to gather field data.
Manage project issues, budgets and schedules A 4 year Mechanical Engineering degree along with Bio-medical experience.
Should have at least 3 years experience in related work (medical product development community history preferred).
US Citizenship required as well as the ability to attain and maintain a NAC (National Agency Check).
