Bernie & Phyls FurnitureJob Description Job: Bedding Specialist Salary: Commission Location: Store Locations Schedule: Varies but setcombination of Monday Sunday 9:30 to 9:30Immediate Supervisor: Hyannis Store Manager Job Description: Completely responsible for the maintenance, appearance and Productivity of the respective stores Bedding Department as well as the gathering and dissemination of competitor and training information to the stores Sales Force.
Responsibilities: Consult with customers who enter the bedding department, maximizing their buying and ensuring that they purchase the correct bedding to meet their needsWork towards increasing our AUSP and bedding unit numbers within the departmentDirect the flow of the room between customers and Sales Consultants to allow for the most productivity of the entire departmentWork towards increasing our Mattress Pad salesMaintain a neat and clean appearance of the Bedding Department at all timesMaintain stock of POP materials and order from appropriate resources as necessaryWork with Vendor Rep to change out POP as needed to keep room fresh, at least every 6 monthsShop the competition on a regular basis and put the information in a comprehensive format that can be easily used as a resource for all Sales personnel.
Become well versed in all major bedding brands (S beds) and a resource for all Sales Consultants and customers in that respectObtain all bedding specs and training information from our vendor(s) prior to new lineups hitting the floorWork with Vendor Rep, Sales Manager and Warehouse Manager as to what new models will come in and where they should be positioned on the floor during line-up changesWork with Sales Manger to set up and conduct training for all appropriate store personnelOffer observations of Sales Consultants who could use re-education in bedding or any of the other products sold within that departmentWork with Sales Manager to coach and retrain those individuals Requirements: High School EducationAbility to interact professionally with the publicAbility to carefully prioritize time Computer Friendly Please submit resumes to tresmini [at] bernphyl [dot] com
