BUSINESS SYSTEMS TEAM LEADER Job in Atlanta 30303, Georgia US
Atlanta Public Schools is looking for a motivated Business Systems Team Leader to formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and an expert understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements and best practices.
The incumbent will also perform analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
Guides and advises less-experienced Business Analysts.
Focuses on the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
Supports multiple major enterprise subsystems simultaneously.
Level Characteristics - Clearly demonstrates analytical thinking; ability to organize work in a precise manner; solving problems using clear logic from problem definition to solution; self-directed in gaining knowledge and seeking help.
Learns quickly; follows instructions precisely, and documents his/her work carefully.
Demonstrated communication capability (written and oral).
CLOSING DATE: April 1, 2010 PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITESUnderstand, document, and analyze user business processes and align with the technology to determine business implications; develop alternative business system scenarios that will meet and/or improve current business and system performance for the user.
Analyze data requirements, process requirements, and communicate results of the process, providing, implementing, and supporting improvements to data and process.
Provides system users with proper training and support.
Oversee junior analysts and analyst teams.
Delivers services in his/her area of expertise as called upon by ISD management in support of the mission and goals of APSMay represent manager and/or director in their absence.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related fieldEXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a position comparable to the Business Systems Team Leader positionCERTIFICATION: N/A
