Currently, we are searching for a HR Generalist to join our Brooklyn Park, MN facility.
About the Opportunity: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for working in collaboration with the Human Resources Manager to manage or coordinate a variety of human resources functions, including, but not limited to employment, placement, orientation and training, employee relations, compensation, benefits, people process and transactional support services.
The Human Resources Generalist coordinates or manages certain aspects of the employment function for one or multiple facilities under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, including administration of the benefits programs, training programs, company policies and procedures, recruiting, and processing of new hires and terminations.
This position will also serve as a source of information and provide guidance/coaching for employees and management who have questions regarding any employee relations/human resources process through interpretation of company policies and procedures.
Assure compliance with all federal and state employemnt and labor laws and regulations Develop and execute internal and external staffing strategies and tactics to ensure that all hourly and salaried positions are filled in a timely manner with the best available talent.
Implement retention strategies as appropriate.
Proactively address business concerns and provide coaching to ensure management practices are consistent with Accellent’s culture and values.
Ensure Accellent business ethics and values are maintained at all times.
Administer employee relations programs including communication programs and company-sponsored events.
Administer the Accellent benefits programs Manage leave programs such as FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Unemployment Claims, Workers Compensation Coordinate and conduct employee training in a variety of areas and manage training record capture and reporting.
Support the development and delivery of HR best practice within the facility and broader organization.
Maintain employee files, recruitment files, medical files, I9s, and other information as necessary to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws.
Effectively manage and maintain employee data through HRIS and other HR Technology software; Run queries and provide ad hoc reporting as needed, including AAP, EEO, FMLA.
Act as primary contact for review and approval of payroll-related transactions.
Conduct compliance audits to validate OFCCP compliance, posting requirements (OSHA, WC, DOL), I-9 review, employee file and benefit file review.
Comply with all work rules including those pertaining to safety, health, quality and Quality Management System.
Ensure employee understanding of benefit programs through regular and effective communication and incident-specific counseling.
Act as a liaison with various insurance carriers and foster effective relationships with client representatives.
