Siemens is an Equal Opportunity Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.Job Description: Successful candidate will lead a team of Chemistry Instrument Specialists in securing new business opportunities in the Chemistry Instrument and Automation areas of the clinical laboratory; guide the development and execution of strategic account plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals; guide unit to achieve business objectives at key accounts (for example, penetration of account with product/solution/service offerings); develop / build / cultivate long-term relationships with key management within the customer organization; assist management in devising sales plans and strategies; may identify, develop and manage channel partners to achieve channel goals; leverage Siemens global reach to influence decisions on projects for delivery to the customer in the US, or purchased by the customer in the US; may develop forecasts, budgets and operating plans for sales channels; may form account teams and coordinate team activities while minimizing sales and marketing costs and maximizing sales; may lead team reviews and updates of account plan based on changing market, customer conditions, and competitive activity.
Territory includes GA, western half of North Carolina and western half of South Carolina.
Preferred education would be minimally BA/BS or higher degree either in the medical sciences (Medical Technology, Biology, Clinical Chemistry, etc.) or in business, marketing and / or sales, or both; preferred experience would be 5+ years field sales with a strong ability and track record in capital sales; formal sales training by reputable training organizations is helpful; SPIN selling training is ideal; computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to an RFP in a professional and thorough manner is a must; accountability, communication and listening skills are essential; presentation, workflow, and exceptional sales skills are a requirement; teamwork and territory management skills are critical; must be able to manage a complex sale at all levels in the hospital; Candidate can reside anywhere in the territory.
A clean driving record over last three years is mandatory.
Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 60%
