Audit Senior Job in Atlanta 30346, Georgia US
Position Overview: The Audit Senior is a dedicated team leader, possessing advanced written and oral communication skills, and consistently demonstrating integrity within a professional environment.
He/she will be part of a team that provides objective assurance about a company's financial reporting, focusing on the effectiveness of a company's own risk controls, determining their impact on business viability, and financial reporting.
Additionally, he/she may work on due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, operational reviews and other financial-related consulting projects.
Responsibilities: The Audit Senior will work with the engagement team to plan engagement objectives and the audit strategy to comply with professional standards and address the risks inherent in the engagement.
The Audit Senior will participate in the performance of audit procedures, especially focusing on complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues.
Furthermore, the Audit Senior will maintain relationships with client management to manage expectations of service including work products, timing, and value to be delivered.
The Audit Senior will: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply this knowledge to client situations Use knowledge of client's industry to identify relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers and communicate this information to client management Demonstrate excellent project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and service Understand the Firm and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to bring value to clients Generate new business opportunities by developing ideas and solutions to present to clients Perform administrative role within the department including scheduling, staff mentoring and training, and billing and collections.
Requirements: Candidates must possess an undergraduate degree or master's degree in accounting, CPA certification or pursuit of CPA, and three or more years experience working as an auditor for a Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate progressively higher levels of responsibility working with multi-disciplinary project teams and supervising and developing staff.
A solid understanding of the auditing process is fundamental.
Healthcare audit experience highly preferred.
Travel required.
