The Membership and Services Director for this state wide financial services association will be responsible for membership retention, growth and services growth and revenue.

The incumbant will directly market, promote and sell membership and the endorsed and products and services of the association offered by the for-profit subsidiary of the association.

It will be the responsibility of this representative to both attend and promote educational seminars, annual meetings and other events offered by the Association to members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities for the Membership and Services Director: · Responsible for establishing sales culture that emphasizes building relationships with members, prospects and vendors.

· Keeps up to date with association educational programs schedules, curriculum and other product and service offerings.

Assists in the preparation, operation and implementation of Association-sponsored conferences, conventions, meetings, seminars and other activities as needed, Markets and sells membership, products, services, educational seminars and annual meetings provided by the association to member and prospective member banks.

· Acts as the, eyes and ears of the Association when meeting with banks to recognize opportunities and potential pitfalls and provide feedback to the Association of what the member bank's needs are. Identifies current andfuture member service requirements by establishing personal rapport with current members, potential members and other persons.

· Solicits membership in the association to eligible nonmembers according to the goals and objectives set forth the Marketing Plan,· Visits members, including their branches as well as prospective members.

The goal of member calls to nonmember calls should be close to 75% member and 25% nonmember prospects.

· Establishes increased product and service usage by advising members of endorsed services and identifying solid leads.

Once identified plans and organizes a diligent sales call process, including effective follow-up procedures.

Notifies and involves product sales representative when assistance is needed to close the sale.

· Prepares and submits accurate sales call reports, monthly expense reports and other required reports in a timely and appropriate manner.

· Prepares reports for the Board of Directors summarizing membership activity and trends and recommends, in consultation with the CEO, appropriate changes, promotional programs, and satisfaction measures.

· Composes appropriate sales letters and assists in designing marketing materials including, but not limited to, brochures, sales packets, etc.· Serves membership by responding to and following up on field requests for market or product specific materials.

Responds to incoming call requests and concerns from prospects, members, Associate members and others in a timely and Professional manner.

· Provides historical information on members by maintaining and creating accurate sales and membership call reports and records.

Keeps the CEO informed by submitting accurate activity and reports on results such as daily call reports, weekly work plans and other reports necessary to measure the effectiveness of calls.

· Documents reports and recommends resolution of member complaints.

· Acts as a staff liaison to Membership Committee by assisting the committee to accomplish its objectives.

This includes preparing agendas, taking and dispersing minutes and follow through on projects and actions approved by the committee.

· Works closely with the for-profit subsidiary Board of Directors including planning for their meetings and agendas, and gives feedback and advice on all vendors seeking endorsement.

Position Qualifications · Experience and Education in creating Marketing programs· Experience in Sales to financial institutions in a services environment · Association experience desirable · Basic skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and Access based databases.
