Associate MEP Engineer Job in Los Angeles 90008, California US
Our client, an international firm that specializes in the mechanical, electrical and plumbing design and engineering of creative and complex building project types throughout the world, is seeking an Associate MEP Engineer.Job DescriptionThe Associate MEP Engineer will be responsible for both technical engineering and design, as well as business and client management.
The role will involve management of engineers, designers, and drafters, as well as heavy coordination and representation of the company with clients and in the field.
Key Responsibilities Under the direction of an Associate Principal: -Lead single and multi-discipline projects on behalf of the group (operating as Job or Project Leader as appropriate).
-Act as first point of contract for resolution of team issues.
-Prepare and take responsibility for project engineering solutions for detail design.
-Prepare Technical Specifications and check work/specifications of subordinates.
-Develop own Client relationships and secure repeat work where possible.
-Actively seek new work from existing clients.
-Reviews job financial performance for all projects in their team.
-Manages team resource and resolves own project resource issues.
-Undertake high-level project technical/quality reviews and attend design.
workshops to ensure all Teams Projects are appropriately engineered.
-Commitment to CPD and self learning including development of own preferred area of expertise.
-Managing and leading a team of discipline staff, ensuring training needs and personal development requirements are met.Job Requirements-Associate MEP Engineer will have 7-15 years of experience in the MEP Engineering field - particularly with a background in multi-disciplinary projects.
-Must hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
-A California PE is a huge plus.
-Must have supervisory experience.
-Must be a strong business skills have the ability to represent the firm in the field.
-Knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT is a huge plus.
